We are replacing a badly mangled door on a 52 Suburban with one that had a little rust on the bottom. A guy from the truck shop down the road just about flipped out when he saw the "before" condition but we can have it ready with brand new metal for primer in under four hours which is quite a bit fewer dollars than what people with so called good doors are asking for them. On the other hand when I was down at his truck shop they had an Allison automatic transmission all spread out over two work tables and I thought to myself "No Way".

Gues the customer wants the same door and have it repaired by you guys wich gives a good outcome offcourse ! What about the rest of the truck is the sheet metal in a good shape ?

I know People where bidding on a old 1953 356 porsche coupe car oktober 2013 on EBAY. Even if it was a rare Production number aprox. 1250 of this Production and in total 8000 cars. Most of the vehicle was rusty all the way through:eek:
The end price at Ebay auctions was gues ............55.000 US dollars ,youch.... http://www.tv2.no/underholdning/broom/porsche-356-egentlig-er-dette-en-millionbil-4135827.html

There's a build thread on the HAMB for the pictured cab needing all the patch panels. The build is documented with lots of pictures and text. The builder has some serious skills, and it's worth a look. Unable to post a working link. If you google images for "53 chevy truck panel replacement" you will find the posted picture and can access the link from there.

We get spoiled really quickly ~ .

I remember watching the Body & Fender Guys salvage junk I'd never touch when I were young and 1920's tin was pennies the pound but mostly rusted to gaping holes .

Hats off to the true craftsmen who can do this , it ain't easy .
