Vin Decode

Hi,

Anyone have a good web site that decodes VINs?

My VIN on my 58 GMC is 1018CS1013A. Any ideas on translation?

 

Doesn't the factory shop manual have VIN decoding into ? .

Maybe look on The Old Car Manual Project as they have factory shop and parts manuals OnLine to read for free....

10....................... 1/2 ton
...1..................... 113" wheel base
....8.................... V8 engine (336 cubic inch, based on Pontiac 370 engine)
......C.................. built at the Oakland California plant
........S................ 1958 or 1959
..........1013......... a very low serial number, so most likely 1958
.................A....... I don't know
