    Hello,

Been lurking for a couple of months. Thought I'd join and drop in to say hello.

Picked up my 51' last summer. She had a lot of work done to her.. She's running a 327 with a 4 spd auto trans, new front and rear clips, power steering. Over the winter I have been taking her from the 90s Hot Rod to more of a classic look. Chrome, white walls etc. I'll post pics when complete.

    Enjoy!!

Nice blue. Some retro 90s grafix on the door. I'm an old school fan myself.

Chrome grille, bumpers and a wheel change to a classic style will work wonders towards un dating that truck. Nice blue paint. Should you decide to remove the 90s pinstriing, (as a pinstriper I kinda dig it) I often use laquer thinner on a rag and rub it out slowly, I also hear oven cleaner softens it up quickly, but I haven't tried it yet.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

been trying to gently remove the pink graphics. The tailgate has a monster pink chevy bow tie... I love Chevy but C'mon. I'll check out Lacquer thinner. Thanks

    Thank you !

As a poor Farm Boy in the 1960's , I always lusted after wide white wall tires and had a set custom made for my '49 3100 , they were 4" wide on E Rated LT Radials and yes , I drove them in the muddy remote junkyards and desert , just clean 'em up with Comet , Bon - Ami or Wesley's Tire Bleech to make them look AS NEW again :) .

You're truck looks very nice in that color scheme , consider some origonal steel wheels and hub caps .

    Grill/Bumper done

Over the weekend, add a fresh grill and bumper. Looks like a completely new truck.

I purchased bumper guards, but I only had 3 inches of ground clearance. Not going to work in PA. This weekend I'll buy a couple of pieces at Spring Carlisle and I'll be done for the year.

Where can I find touch up paint?
