Do something on your ride that only you know is there. I'm replacing the body to frame pads on a coupe that uses 5/16 fine threaded bolts to bolt the body to the frame. The nuts are cage nuts up inside the body so on one of them I run a course threaded tap through it so it now has nine fine threaded and one course threaded bolt all with identical heads on them. Came across this accidentally many years ago when my partners muscle car was stolen and when found had the color and all identification changed. The police officer said without concrete ID the car would go into limbo until positive ID could be made. My partner, not me, remembered that he had me replace the welded in front crossmember (Ford tubular type) with one that bolted in so the pan could be dropped without pulling the engine. Luckily I did a really clean job and it looked factory. Car was returned without further hassle.
Oh ; I thought you'd say ' drive a Brand 'F' so you wouldn't care if it got stolen...... . A good tip Evan .
Indeed, Nate. Gave me an idea because I'm sure many a man will want to steal my manly machine when I get it rolling.
