I saw a picture of another forum member's truck with a "stop" light on the rear and thought I'd try to find one for mine. I settled on this one that I found on eBay. I wonder if any of you have any idea of its origin. It is a little over 4" in diameter and is about and inch and a half thick. The metal band that holds the glass in place is brass. The bracket that holds it to the body of the car is adjustable through about 120 degrees allowing it to be mounted to a horizontal through a vertical surface.
Cool! Does it make a nice warm red glow in the cab when you step on the brake pedal at night? I've got stop tail lights on my Model A... old timey cool, but not as cool as yours!
Chmsl That's very nice ! . I'd say late 1920's > 1930's design , I have seen these many times before . There were nifty Japanese made round ones with glass lenses sold by JC Whitless back through the 1970's they were $5 or so , now I see them for much more at Swap Meets .
