oil presser

    if i rase my back end 2 1/2 inches with taller tires,on my 1948 1/2 ton.Would that affect oil presser on my second series 235 engine ? thank

    No it would not. If you drive down a hill you don't worry about oil pressure. ;)

    That's a BIG change in tire size. What size are the tires, old and new?

    tires up front 215/70/15 tires in back 235/75/15 on original 4 by 15 rims ,is that ok?

    4 inch wheels are pretty skinny for a 235 tire.

    So, youre going to buy tires that are 5" taller than what youre running now?
    That's quite a jump. Probably quite a jump in price also.

    That 5" was exactly my point, but I wanted to see if old chevy guy caught it. More likely the new tires are 2.5" taller which would raise the rear 1.25"

    i think it will only rase it 2 1/2 inches .Some one told me the narrow 4 rims will not matter on non steering tires, the guy who wants to sell me the tires.thanks
