Can anyone tell me where to find instructions and/or photos of the 66 C10 stock headlight assemblies. I have all the parts, including the adjusters, springs and screws. I hate to admit it but I can't figure out how it all goes together. There's sort-of a diagram in the LMC catalog, but I still don't get it...duh!

Do you have a GM Service Manual?

    1965 Service Manual Section 11

If you would like I can pull the trim ring off my 1965 and take some photo's for you?

I scanned and attached here the only information I found in the Service Manual. The diagram is minimalistic, at best, and a bit inaccurate. Look at the trim rings, what's up with that? These exploded view drawings pre-dated the actual truck assembly line run, and were based on conceptual data and not production parts. That's why they sometimes aren't 100% accurate.

Thanks John for your effort. The problem is: 1: Where do the 2 plastic adjuster inserts go....each side has 3 square holes for them, and I assume there is one in the top hole and another in one of the two side holes. And 2; How is the spring attached?

This build has taught me a couple things for sure...that "basket cases" are cheaper to purchase, but one hell of a hassle to put back together. Still fun though!

Hey Lakeroadster...I just figured it all out. The 2 plastic adjuster inserts go to the top and left of each socket (as you face the front of the grille). The springs go to the lower right hole in the sockets and into the square beauty ring hole that is near the spring.

Thanks so much for you help and willingness to do more....Jim
