I found this motor locally for sale and he states it is a 235. He says #2773808 is stamped on the block. Is this really a 235 or something else?

230 250 or something newer...dist in front...oil filter...a click starter...and more. Locally somebody different tries to sell one of those about every 2 or 3 months on Craigs...which if your looking for one...good, but not as a 235

194/230/250. The 292 had taller lifter covers.

    Just So You'll Know

If that's a 230 or 250 it's a very good engine indeed if you want power and economy .

These engines are susceptible to dirty oil so they often smoke like trains but they're cheap and easy to overhaul and are not worth much , like $250 MAXIMUM for that whole mess there .

I mention it as I've known a few folks who either had engineless trucks or didn't like the 235 for some reasons .

They plopped in one of these and Motored away happily .

You can paint it gray and few will notice it's a newer engine .
