My dad just gave me a 1968 c30. When I released the parking brake it seems like the brakes did not move (the brakes are still on) could this truck have 4 wheel parking brakes? Did GM make them that way? I was looking in a catalog for brake cables; the catalog had front and rear cables. Are they talking about front wheel cables? How will I release the stuck brakes. They are stuck good, I tried to drag it with my suv in 4 wheel drive, No way!

Hello, the front cable is the one that goes to the brake pedal or handle, there is a middle one hooked to that one, and than the rear ones hook to that, one to the left wheel and one to the right wheel. To release them you will prbably have to pull the wheels and drums off, and either back off the shoes or do a brake job.
