Brake & Clutch Pedal shaft Seals- Improvements-Suggestions

In the process of installing the brake and clutch pedals through the cab floor/firewall .... Wondering if there is anything better/more effective in keeping moisture and noise out than what our host and other sites sell, that is the felt inserts?

There's got to be a better way. With the way these cabs are so rust prone, anything to keep water out would be a grew improvement.

You are here in Ca where it never rains. I live here and have no trouble with the felt seals no water comes in.
