Gauge cluster removal

    I need some help removing the gauge cluster in a 72 chevy, i get it like halfway out and iy starts to hit on the stering column and the dash. any suggestions appreciated.

    Did you remove the speedo cable ?

    yes, and all the gauges are disconnected im thinking that you can drop the steering column down. any suggesions

    Yes, you can. Two bolts on the column support. You might be able to just loosen them enough to get the clearance.

    sometimes you have to twist it over the colum
