Has anyone fitted a tach force gauge in and do all senders fit ok for my 55. As I live in Australia. How does speedo work without cable. Cheers Mick

I have no personal knowledge of this brand of gauges, but I do have a set of after-market gauges in my '52 GMC. The speedometer cable is replaced with a sending unit (sometimes called a VSS - vehicle speed sensor) that mounts in the speedo cable hole on the transmission. Wires from the VSS carry pulses to the speedometer in the instrument panel.
The good thing about these types of speedometers is that they are user calibrated and don't care about rear end ratios and tire size. You just push a button telling the unit to start counting pulses, drive exactly 1 mile and push the button again signaling exactly 1 mile driven. The speedo head then knows how to convert pulses to speed and distance on your truck. If you change rear gearing or tire size, just do the calibration process again.
