hi my name is Jason and I live in council bluffs ia I started out building a 53 chevy truck striped it all the way down and decided I didn't like any of the body so drove to Idaho picked up a rust free 48 cab with a title and somehow now building two trucks the 53 frame is the sweet one witch in the end will be the 48 and I found another frame and am putting the 53 back together
the 48 cab is going to body shop this weekend I am looking for a ls2 our ls3 haven't decided yet the 53 is going back stock got the whole frame back together waiting on motor mounts then the engine is going back in this will be the black truck I took apart
WELCOME to our forum!!! It seems as though you know your way around a welder too~ What awesome work! So many here want to turn these old rigs into a mover and shaker. You already figured out pictures are key, so I can't wait to see how your build turns out, and what ideas I will get from it~ (Minus the welding parts, of course...)
Welcome aboard, enjoy your ride while here. Thanks for posting your photos of your truck and the progress it is taking.
this week well I dropped the 48 cab off at body shop Friday they are striping it and it goes to media blaster Wednesday and I put the engine back in the 53 today hopefully I can get the cab back on this week
little more progress the blue 48 cab has been at the media blaster since last wednesday haven't heard anything yet during the strip down a lot of mice lost there homes the 53 now has a cab now just trying to remember where everything goes
yeah I don't know how it happened but it did as soon as I get the black one back together I will probably sell it we will c
back from blaster got the 48 cab back today from the media blaster and it had zero rust and no body work had been done to it I am happy
Wild Life Habitat Wow that cab looks nice ! . FWIW , I have some mice & squirrels (small poop) and maybe an Opossum (large poop) living underneath my house that need a new home.... want 'em ? . Thy flat refuse to eat any sort of poison , go near traps , my Dogs can't catch 'em and they're driving me nuts .
Try shrimp laced with as much valium as you can get. My brother did that for a family of skunks, and it made them laid back enough to hand carry to the cage and transport to the country.
That actually sounds pretty good but then they'll prolly just climb up into the walls and sleep it off . I was down in my tiny cellar hole Saturday with the big shop vac , cleaning up old acorns and massive amounts of poop ~ I hope I don't catch hanta v*rus .
He spent a lot of money for the shrimp, and 'borrowed' the valium. I think there was a have-a-heart trap in there somewhere, knowing my brother...
