I purchased a 1971 chevy stepside, short bed to restore. It has no seat in it. I have been told that any Chevy truck bench seat will work as a replacement
, except for ??? Can someone tell me what YEAR and MODEL make bench seat will work.

    Thanks

1967 ~ 1972 are direct bolt in but only the '71 & '72 have the folding back rest .

These bench seats are comfy and plentiful plus dirt cheap and many Hot Rodders take them out to install buckets , read old Hot Rod threads and send them a query .

Welcome to the forum! Post up some photo's of that short stepper, we'd love to see it.

A fourth generation, 1987 through 1998, will fit, back seat folds forward and it has a nifty fold down arm rest so you can get the "detroit lean" rockin'.

Where are you located, I got one I keep moving around my shop I need to get rid of ;)
