Hey there! I have the potential to receive a wrecked 86 Chevy 1500 that has an all new brake system intact (for VERY cheap). What is the possibility of changing the system over to my 68 GMC C15? I'm curious as to if anyone knows if the A arms will swap over or if at least the spindles will. If one of the two will swap, I'd be home free with a new disc brake system on her for cheap!!! Thanks for any help!

If you can get the entire front crossmember it will be a lot easier. Just swap the whole front crossmember, suspension and all.

I never even thought of that approach! Does the whole front mount as a unit? Or do I need to do some cut/weld? I can get the whole 86 and the whole chassis is complete...

The whole thing should bolt in. A few bolt holes may need to be drilled and the idler arm will need relocating, but it's very do-able.
