I have a 1984 Chevy Silverado C-10 that doesn't have any lighting on the ac/heat control assembly.

I am looking for pictures and/or some input on replacing the bulbs and are they same bulbs that go in the instrument lighting?

There is one 168/194 style lamp on the back of the passenger side. The socket should twist out like the park lights on the fender. If you're agile enough, I don't think you even need to take the dash apart, just reach up from behind (I was able to do this with some of my dash lights back when I was testing some LEDs). Otherwise, just pull the dash bezel, take out the screws holding the heater controls in, and you should be able to pull it out just enough to see where the lamp is.

This ebay listing has a picture of the back side of an A/C control panel, you can see the hole for the lamp socket in the upper left under the screw hole.
