Is this the way it's supposed to be - 235 cu in

    Went to preadjust the valves on this spare engine before installation and I think the center oil pipe might be broken. I'm not that familiar with 235 internals but this doesn't look anything like a 216 I have. Any help appreciated. Oh, it's a 55 engine.:confused:

    Mine curves a little more up and around the rocker shaft and it is pinched like yours as well. I did read something some where that said the pinch was used to "spray" oil. Just letting you know what mine looks like. I don't know much about these engines either.

    Thanks for the response. Yea, I think I saw a post that indicated the same but I think mine was cut or broken. I left it alone an put the cover back on after adjusting the valves . It was running before so I guess It will keep on going!!!:D
