I recently purchased a set of weatherstrip from Classic Parts for my '59 Apache and really don't like the way it fits. I thought perhaps once installed, it would look better but its just too large, there's about ⅛" to ?" of rubber visible all the way around the door and at the hinge, you can hear the rubber pop when the door is opened. This to me isn't a good fit - anyone have similar experiences or have a better source for the rubber?

Aside from the actual size, the clips inside the rubber are spot on but they too don't hold well. I'm considering a glue in and would appreciate feedback on that as well.

    Thanks!

Throw it in the trash and go to Steele Rubber Co. ~ they make their rubber in AMERICA not China and it fits and lasts too .

ALL door rubbers fit too tightly and take a few months of hard door shuts before they form their final shape and allow easy closing doors that don't have wind drafts .
