    Hi all,
I have a 1976 Chevy C-10 pickup. It had a 250 6 cyl. It died. Now I have a 292 6 cyl (brand new engine) to put in it. The problem is that the passenger side motor mount on the 292 is about 4 inches forward than it was on the 250. So I think I need a new plate (the plate that bolts to the frame and undercarriage) that will position the rubberized engine mount forward about 4 inches. I can't just move the existing plate forward, it won't fit - nowhere to bolt to, etc.
I am pretty sure this year/model truck came with a 292 in it, as well as a 250 or 230.
Has anyone ever had any experience with this? The local GM dealer looked up a new engine mount plate(bracket) and came up with a GM part #334606. Any of you all heard of such?
    Thanks,
    Bill Bledsoe
