I'm an amateur restorer interested in purchasing new harnesses for my 71C10. I have a few dilemmas! My 71 has a 305. I've researched the engine and found that it was manufactured somewhere between 76 & 79. I'm not sure which harness I should purchase. To start, I would like to purchase the engine and front harness. I recently dropped the engine back in place along with all my engine components. I want to run the engine and don't want to use the original harnesses, they're in real bad shape. Also, I got a good price on a HEI distributor off a 1981 chevy with a 305. Need some help with the wiring. Once again, depending upon what engine harness I will use, I need to know what modifications need to be made to accommodate the new electronic ignition distributor.
Are you wanting to do all the harness's or just the engine harness? What transmission do you have? We have a harness setup with the HEI wire in it.Let me know what you need and I will get you part numbers and prices. Craig Hager tech1@chevyduty.com
