Ok I have the harness for the rewire project. I see our sponsor has headlight and taillight grommets. and clips.

    1. how many of each clip do I need?

    2. Where can I get firewall gromments, think I need a large and small?

    3. What type of connectors do you think are best?

    4. I have electrical tape and soldering tools.

What else should I have at the ready?

    Hi Denis,
I would use good crimp connectors on interior connections with dielectric grease and shrink tape. Anything exposed to weather solder liquid electric tape and shrink tape. Things like tail lights often come with a pigtail, on those use a union splice, solder the joint, liquid electric tape, and shrink tape. Apply liquid electric tape, while still soft heat the shrink tape, it will force out all of the air and make the joint air tight. Finally cover with wire loom. This has worked well for years on farm equipment and marine use. Just my 2 cents worth.

    I like what Mike said!
It gave me a great idea on how I can spend more quality time with my truck when it cools down doing just that~ (As I have not been nearly that thorough due to just wanting to get it on the road...)
