Posting Pictures Robert ; THANK YOU for taking the time , I know what a royal PIA it is . There's a rather simple trick to it I have figured out but don't know well enough to explain . After you've downloaded all five pictures , look at the header bar over the post box , there's a paperclip and down triangle ~ click on the triangle to highlight and post the pictures ~ this is also how you insert text between the pictures . Like so : Or , my old beloved '49 3100 series unrestored but as always , hard at work : See ? . You just have to keep asking then fooling with it .
Thanks, Bill, and Charles. I had heard of "swamp coolers" before, but, never seen one. I Googled them and now I know how they work. Never were popular here in Indiana, probably, what with 90% summer humidity.
No can do Tried it Nate no such luck a lot to learn on this phone just think it's not for dummies like me

... and speaking of Show and Shine ... This car was parked across from me last Saturday at the local Show and Shine. Can you tell what it is from this photo of the right side of the engine?
Same back at Yah Robert, Wish there had been more time to visit. Getting ready to take the truck back to Az., may drive it down to Tucson for the Tucson Cactus & Succulent Society Cactus sale coming soon. Charles
Only picture I have, although it would be easy to find pictures of the kind of car it is in on the web. The car manufacturer did not manufacture the engine, they bought it from a company that just built engines.
Here is a picture of the engine, transmission and differential (note that I didn't say "rear end"). And a cross section drawing of the engine. No fair looking at the URL information of the pictures.
Well I dunno what the heck it is but it appears to have a transaxle with a vacuum or hydraulic pre selector clutch & shifter on it ~ I'm keen to find out what it is ! . The two pix are angled so differently it doesn't look like the same FlatHead V-8 engine .
