I have recently purchased this truck and I'm wondering what does "Bonanza" stand for? On the build sheet it has Scottsdale equipment with Bonanza Package "C". One other thing on the build sheet is listed 1G51 extra capacity rear....What does that mean???
    Any help would really be great! 1979 C 20 454ci. TH400

From what I have gleaned from the net, it was some sort of incentive package, like a silverado at the price of a cheyenne. We had one on the farm, a 78 c10, brown, 2x, 305/th350. It had all of the stainless trim down the side like a silverado, and full dress wheel covers. Of course, by the time we got it the bed sides flapped in the breeze and the floor was plywood (gotta love michigan). Despite all that, it was my favorite truck yet ( I have a 93 w/t 4x4, and a 2000 silverado ext. cab 4x4, looking at getting an 86 shortbox 4x...) and if I can find another would buy it in a heartbeat...

Anyways, to make a short story long, I have looked at many of the original brouchures from 76-79 and have found nothing... but I had a lead on some brouchures from a guy lcljerry@aol.com, i think, but I never followed up on it. Yet anyway. Good Luck and if you find anything let me know.
