    Nick,
Thanks again. I wondered if you would "see" where this post went (sometimes they get sidetracked awful fast). I appreciate you taking the time, and I believe that with communication, we can end up with the best possible forum.

Zig, I hope that when I am done, I will have more to offer the newbies. Obviously, with Penny (on her way to) being a 53 AD in sheetmetal ONLY, my input is more of a hot rod type (although I actually don't consider her a hot rod for some odd reason).

Thank you. I switched to the older style this morning and it does look more like the old format. I don't post much but I check this forum at least once a day. If this forum and the people that have shared their expertise had not been here I would still be working on the old girl instead of driving her to my favorite fishing hole.

Options are good. Either of the formats work great IMHO, and both are better than doing bodywork.

All I have to say is no matter how low tech Nate or any body else is they will still just be the SECOND most dumb when it comes to computers since I hold the title for the foreseeable future. Took a while but my two finger approach has plodded into the new a few tiny baby steps. Do I like change?---your dealing with someone that still drives a 37 Buick for every day transportation except when a pickup is required and then I use my 98 Ranger with 335K miles on it.

    Thank you
I personally like the new format.

The way I look at it I'm, im a guest in your house.
I would not walk into your house and then complain because you bought a new couch I didn't like.

You don't charge to become a member
You don't splash ads all over the forum
And your brunting the cost for the software and server fees.
Plus hosting any photos members wish to store.(at not fee)

There was a lot of belly aching when the HAMB switch to this format
In my view it was a great improvement over there.
Before it seem like people with fixcated on post counts and titles
If you had a low post count or title of new guy they would rip into you
That went away when the post count was hidden in the avatar and every one was titled member

People should be judge on the quality of the post. Not the post count or title of "grand most awesome poo baaa"

    Members come and go

Again thanks for providing a format for truck enthusiast to get assistance

Most importantly thank for the 10% discounts provided time to time

Thanks for option Nick I happen to prefer the "Classic" look.
I opted for the Classic look on Outlook when it upgraded too.

    Hi Nick,

Just changed it to "Classic" style. It's definitely more familiar.

Thanks for keeping us in the loop. Maybe Nate will come back now. Maybe some others as well.

    Hey Tubby,

Where do I find or how do I get the 10% discount?

I've been buying parts here for a long time, way back when they were called "Chevy Duty".
Just bought some parts about a month ago. Great customer service, too.
Getting ready to order the 80 MPH speedometer.

Sure would be nice to get the 10%.

    Can you help?

    Thanks,
    Tom

I believe the 10% discount went away with the "economic downturn". The promotion code "stovebolt" was worth 5% off last time I ordered. Good luck.

    Tubby,
Regarding your post last week... It is important to consider that we aren't bitching about the forum, we are just trying to make it better. Our host fronts the cost, offset by purchases we make from them (nothing for nothing). And if, perhaps, one of their products is sub-par, they will see feedback HERE. Lets pick... GLASS. If we all hate their glass, and suggest others buy from (fill in the name of one of the many purveyors of AD parts HERE), they'll either a) not care; b) make a change in their glass supplier; or c) have the moderators delete the thread. My guess? B. Good news spreads fast. Bad news travels like wildfire. By hosting a forum, our host has "their finger on the pulse of the hobby". They are involved. That is good. As long as their "GLASS" is as good as everyone else's, my guess is we'll buy here.

And rubber. Let's not forget the rubber for the glass... ;)
Seriously, the more I'm on here, the better I like it.
We ALL know how Evan has struggled with technology, right? I see he's on here posting away and including our beloved pictures.
I'd think that is a watermark of usability.
