It was those damn ZOMBIES ~ they - no , wait .

I just tried the ' classic ' format , THANK YOU Nick (he's always been helpful) and I still can't see a way to reply to a message without quoting the previous message within my reply....

    FWIW , I never ' bitched ' ~ I just gave up .

In fact I repeatedly told the many who contacted me off list that it's not fair to ask Chevy Duty to make any changes for me .

I'll give it a go again as I do miss this good site and the fine folks on it .

As so often happens , I've been having more physical issues again , swamped with work , computer issues blah blah blah .

I didn't want to make any pity party complaints , as mentioned a few messages ago I'm still alive and riding my Moto for my birthday four weeks ago .

Still have a 6 cylinder Chevrolet shop truck too , some things will never change :p .

    Oops ~ here's the correct emoticon : #biggrin# .

It's going to take me a while to get anywhere near caught up , I will happily put my oar in on any and all Tech Help I can .

THANK YOU ALL for caring and asking after me ~ it makes this old man's heart very glad indeed #redface# .

EDIT : I'm no longer allowed to post 'photos , same old iPod device I've always used..... #frown#

    Welcome back, Nate...
Let me be the first to say it! It has been sorta sleepy around here.
I see by your post, you've figured out how to just start typing your response. See, had I clicked "Reply" on DZ's tail end pic. of your old truck, I would have "quoted"??? his picture down here. Also, your using colored type, something I've never done. You've got your Bold print, so now you can make your title line.
    Once again, Welcome back!

    Steve.

    Well no Steve ;

I only see ONE ' reply ' button and it always bring in the previous message so I have to stop and delete it....

It's good to be home tho' #cool# .

NATE, Don't click on "reply". Just click on "write your reply" in the space immediately right of your avatar picture. It looks kinda faded, until you click on it, then it goes away and you can type away...

    You're welcome!

What happens when you try to post one (or do you not even have the option to try)? The "Upload a File" button next to the box where you type your post should let you select one or more photos to post (it says "file" instead of "photo" because you can also post some other types of files if you want, such as PDF documents).

So I,m confused! What is the "classic" format and how do you get to it and use it?
I need some help with this new format. Thanks Doug

    Hello Doug,

Click on the link below. There will be a drop down option for STYLE, select CLASSIC. This can be changed back and forth at anytime.

    https://talk.classicparts.com/account/preferences

I currently run the classic layout. It is easier on my eyes.

To change to Classic or Modern using "Style Chooser" ....

At the very bottom of the page, where that big blue line goes across,
on the left side click on the word "Modern" and a window opens
asking you to choose Modern or Classic.

Make your choice and instantly make the screen change.
You can change it back and forth.

You don't even have to be signed in
to make the change from there.

By default it is set to Modern.

Sadly, I installed the muffler before I became a member of this site... Had I knew then what I know now...
