I'm trying to identify an automobile my deceased dad owned. I have included the only two pictures I have. The pic with the bicycle was taken in 1952, the other pic which just barely shows the front end was taken in Sept., 1955. Would really appreciate any help in trying to identify this automobile.

I'm thinking the two photo's you linked to are of different cars.

    Looks like a 1950 Oldsmobile:

The other photo's has me stumped....

It kind of looks like a '45-'48 Ford... but the tail lights aren't right?

Was your Dad a hot rodder? I ask because maybe the car was modified.

Thanks Lakeroadster for the reply...at the time of this photo my dad was not a hot rodder. I suppose there is a possibility he bought it from someone who had modified it somewhat. I really appreciate you taking the time to try and help me. Any ides where else I could post this that might generate more responses?

I think Lakeroadster is on the right path, but, needs to go back to 1941, and possibly '42, '43, limited wartime production.
