I know my body is going bad but now my mind may be following it. Was looking for a "Shorty" steering column we put in a 37 Chevy truck a half dozen years ago when on the same file I found it was a yellow 55-59 TF and a 65 Mustang Fastback. Both were nearly done and in our shop so we must have done them but I don't remember them. Back to the Shorty column, IDIDIT now is making them and the column shift version is $600--double ouch. They are very handy in the very narrow cars/trucks of the 30's because by the time you put a steering column, clutch pedal, brake pedal, and gas pedal between the transmission hump and the kick panel you need size A width shoes to operate. My 5E's just don't fit so a Shorty is on deck for my 34 coupe. These columns fit just an inch or so past the bottom of the dash and then a U-jointed 3/4" steering shaft is routed way to the left side of the toe board giving much more room for pedals. That Task Force looks sweet and only needs two things :

    A 261 and my size 12DD's behind the steering wheel #biggrin# .
