I have a 68 C10 with no motor and tranny. I bought a 74 camper special with a 454/turbo 400 originally just for running gear and possible front suspension swap. Now I would like to put my 68 body on my 74 frame as I like the frame & suspension better. I am waiting on interchange manuals, but has anyone heard of such a swap. Is it possible bolt in installation? I would like to know without having to remove the cabs to get good measurements, as I work in addition to bieng a full time student, and my time is valuable. Any help, ideas or related stories would be appreciated.

i have done similar and it depends on your determination and ability.
also the tools and equipment available to you. I can say I did an
2002 bed tailgate and rear bumper on an 86 c10 and to fit it all and
make it look good and relocate the fuel inlet to match the 2002 bed
took me 2 weeks in my spare time. I once did a mid 80s corvette
chassis and drivetrain with a vega body on top. took all summer, but
    it was a well built v8 vega.86 c10
