Is it possible to paint coil springs? I am planning on painting my a arms and everything since I have my front end torn down, but I wasn't sure if paint would work on coil springs. Is there a special kind of paint to use? I would appreciate any help.
Yes you can paint coil springs. You can use the same paint that you are using on the other front end parts. Just keep two things in mind. One, the better the paint the longer if will hold up. Two, like any other paint work the better the prep work the better the paint job. I hope this helpful to you and good luck. Frank ;-)
Thanks for the help. I wasn't sure that by the compression of the spring, they paint would hold up. Today I just got started pulling off my front end pieces. I went down and bought a wire wheel for my drill. Those things have got be the greatest thing ever invented. They cut through all the dirt and surface rust like nothing. Anyways....thanks for the help. Also, a friend of mine used John Deere Black paint on all his truck parts (firewall, pulleys, a-arms). He said it holds up really well...I guess it has to be tough enough to hold up on tractors. Do you have any other suggestions on paints?
