My nephew has been running the shop for a couple years now and has assembled a pretty good crew. He's so big he had to lengthen both the body and frame on his Model T pickup and of course revamp all the body mounts. Not wanting to pull any of the guys off customer work he put an eye bolt in the center of the T's floor to lift on and off the frame. I asked him how he found the balance point and he said while th body was sitting on saw horses he replaced the pad on a floor jack with a piece of tubing that fit in the pads place. Then while a couple of the guys steadied the body he moved the jack around till he found the balance point, marked that point and installed the eye bolt. It lifts perfectly level side to side and front to back---smart.
