Tranny Swap

    Any have any thoughts on putting a five speed manual in a 73 K20. I have heard that some for the NV4500 tannys had a creeper gear, anyone ever done something similar?

    four wheeler magazine did a sm465 to nv4500 swap on a '71 suburban in the february '03 issue.advance adapters is where they got their parts, they make every part you need for the swap. the tranny is longer then the other so you will have to cut a knew shifter hole.Advance adapters has a longer trasfer linkage.there website is advanceadapters.com.hope this helps.Karl
