    Hello all,
    Happy (day early) Independence Day!

So I had some time, and decided to cut up Penny's old gas tank (recycling center will not accept closed tank). This tank has been sitting filler-end up in my shed for 11 years (I've been busy) taking up space. When I buzzed it in half, I see this

Clearly it sat with fuel in it for a LONG time before I bought it. Here is what clogs your filter, fuel pump and carburetor in something that has been sitting forever...

Pardon the mouse nest- I have NO idea how a mouse can climb up the inside of a steel tank, but this is the primordial ooze that is the stuff of old-car roadside malaise.
