My rewire project is going well and to no surprise, I took some detours. Repaired some firewall holes, fixed the heater, by having a new core installed, and decided to replace the cab side firewall cover.

Welding is something I have not done in the past so I decided to weld the extra holes in the firewall and it was a learning experience. For example, one time I forgot to turn on the gas, didn't work so well. But the funniest is the first weld. I have everything set up, weld blanket covering everything, air hose at the ready, fire extinguisher nearby, I am leaning over the right fender about to pull the trigger, a bit nervous, and I accidentally lean on the air hose and it blasts and I had to go change my skivvies!

I need more rainy days as I am most productive with the truck on those days. Watch out for them air hoses!
