Customer brought his 54 ex- Coka Cola delivery truck by that he has put on a 96 Chevy Duramax Diesel chassis. Fit pretty darn good and interior (no pix) is outstanding. He didn't know it was an old Coke truck till he began sanding off the green repaint. With more patience than I ever had he then sanded off two re-coats down to the original Coke scheme. He said he spent 10 hours each on just the stylized "C's" on the Coke and the Cola. To top it all off the old guy that drove the truck for Coke when it was new stopped by and tried to buy it. Batteries are in cooler at front of bed.
Wow . In the 1970's I remember lots of 1949 Chevy Beverage bed Big Bolts and LA Times newspaper trucks being sold off at an auction I attended, they'd all been sitting for yeard but were solid and zero rust . I think they all went for scrap, a sad thing indeed .
