Hello, new to this forum My 1972 truck’s wiper motor works, but no water comes out. Can it be fixed or do I need to replace the whole motor? Thanks
Well, since no reply on my question This is an update I took the wiper motor to a friend, who fixes electronics and electric stuff, he checked it, he found out that the rubber part of the motor, for delivering water was dry, he just lubricate it, and it’s working find
Sorry, I've been missing some of these threads. Glad you were able to get the thing fixed, simple and easy. I have a similar problem on my 2001, 2500HD. But, mine is a self-inflicted mess-up. Walmart, in their efforts to cut prices, and increase profit, sells a "summer formula", windshield washer fluid. I don't drive the pickup much, and failed to seasonally drain and refill, with winter formula. That resulted in a cracked plastic reservoir. Pretty dumb idea, I think, having two seasonal formulas. The easy answer is to just not buy Walmart,... anything. Steve.
Sorry to hear that, I understand your pain. Make your own formula Both GM and others, use the same methods, cheap products/parts, like my 2009 GMC Denali door handles, they break from inside resulting in buying new complete door handles, because of cheap plastic nut. I love old trucks, they really break, and if they do, it happen years and years later. Thanks for sharing Take care
