i have a list of things that i'm going to use to build my 454(496 stroker if posible useing a 454 block). here it is
preformer rpm air gap intake, 800cfm edelbrock carb, performaer rpm oval port heads, super stock industries roller rockers Performance automotive warehouse Racing master kit with 10:1 compression and forged trw forged pistons, and sanderson headers. can anyone think of anything that might help make more power? i'm going to try and get that camshaft switched to the edelbrock camshaft, and the crank switched to a longer stroke. it will be balanced.

Ya! Scrap the whole idea and build a good stock motor with a mild cam. Now add fuel injection and you have a powerfull 454 with more usable HP, smooth idle and great cold starting.

Yes that is possible but some people just like the thrill of rebuilding an old motor. I'm getting ready to swap rearends. From a regualar half ton to a 1 ton dually. some would say what is the point just go buy a dually. Well my outlook is that i want to be able to say that as a female i was able to do so.
