    Might anyone have a recommendation when reinstalling the carburetor on my 235 engine.

    I am installing the Space between the Carb and the manifold and wonder if I need 2 gaskets, 1 for the manifold and the spacer, and the second one between the spacer and the carb?

    Any suggestions?

    No ;

    GM carefully designed it to not need a gasket between the insulator block and intake manifold ~ adding one usually causes vacuum leaks .

    If you've not yet replaced it, that insulating block is fragile and often crumbles from old age without warning ~ get one now and if you don't want to replace it, just toss it in the glove box with the spare fuel filter .

    Yes, I actually caught the fine print on one of the instructions sheets that mentioned that no gasket necessary when using the insulator.. Okay, one done, one more steps to go :)

    It's all very simple and basic unlike modern vehicles, once you get the hang of it you'll enjoy how a simple tinker will yield satisfying results .
