gauges

    I am having a problem with the gauges on our'74 suburban,when I tun on the headlights the turn signal arrows go solid green, the gas gauge goes past the empty mark, and the temp goes way past hot.any ideas.Thanks.Karl

    I would check the trailer wiring first, i've seen that a few times, when the wires get old and they've been hanging around a long time they can breaks in the covering and short out, other than that its search all.

    you might have a problem with the printed circut.

    thanks.Ive also noticed the radio will quit working once in awhile,so I am thinkin its just a loose connection.Karl

    The arrows going green can be caused by a bad ground connection. I had the same problem, just take some dielectic grease and smear it on the front turn signal bulb sockets and shove them back in the, wiggling until it's cool. The same could go for the back.

    Hope it helps you out, I don't know what the other's are caused by.
