i'm planning to replace my 5 lug 10 bolt rear with a 8 lug 14 bolt FF axle over the summer. What's the cheapest way to convert the front end to 8 lugs? Is there any difference between the spindle on my truck and a C20? (I know the wheel bearings and ball joints are different) I looked in the ##### catalog and they only list a spindle for C20's. Is it possible to just swap the steering knuckle off a C20?

    thanks in advance

your best bet would be to find a donor truck and swap the whole axle assembly.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON Mar-04-04 AT 11:41 PM (CST)]I'm already planning to go to the junkyard to check and see, I don't have the money to go out and buy a whole donor truck though. Just wondering if anyone has attempted this.

it has been tried. the later models had the 10 bolt front axle but i cant remember if the tube size was the same. seems i remember someone just changing the spindles hnd hub, they take the same brakes so you shouldnt have to change that. check on that and let me know what you find out.
