I get notifications of posts in this forum, but my project truck has been on hold for about a year so I'm not posting anything. I think a lot of folks work in spurts like that.

I sort of get that as I do the same. Sort of to bad as there has been a tremendous amount of knowledge on this site and can’t say thanks enough for all that have participated. I miss it.

Yea, I was off the forum for a while and when I tuned in, I find little to no traffic except from some of the old hands that I have relied on for the past 17 years of my build. Unfortunately, I think a lot of folks are resorting to the face Book groups for the old trucks. I myself have found at least four while trying to locate parts. The parts supplies are even showing up on there. I see ads for Chevs of the 40s lately. I still like this forum best.

Some of my favorite trucks are the 55-59 with the 57 topping the list. Just good looking rides.

He can PM me as I'm sure there are some in the rear end pile. Supposed to rain from today (Sunday) through Thursday and they're in a swamp so hurry is out of the question. I wonder why he doesn't want to convert to Bendix?

Hey came to check in. Still have my ol swamp buggy. Thinking of putting the old wheels back on. Military tires 9x20 . I welded a budd style wheel to the factory wheels. She runs great drives hard and when dropped into low range will crawl around pretty good.

You wouldn't happen to have a emergency brake lever from the drivers side brake assembly for a 49 3100 Chevy pickup would ya? Got a friend needing one pretty bad.
