Someone here might be interested. We're working on a conversion of a very nice 1950 3100 and are parting with the original chassis with running straight 6. it's listed here on ebay. 1950 chevy 3100 pickup truck-COMPLETE ORIGINAL CHASSIS frame engine wheels parts | eBay
Wow ~ That's nice . I see you asked for waayyyy too much $ but someone will hopefully realize it's worth this much in parts, I see many dead AD trucks that this would be the easy way to put them back on the road again . Sadly a Babbitt Pounder 216 i6 and torque tube driveline is worthless these days . Even were it a 235 or 261 it's be a hard sell .
ZERO BIDS @ $1,800 minimum bid . I'd think maybe $600 . Me, I'm a Mechanic so if I were still young and building trucks I'd be all over this . No one seems to value Hard Parts until they're faced with a cracked cylinder head of paper thin Huck brake drums and so on . Ask the original poster, send him a PM .
It has been purchased and picked up. I had no idea what to ask for it, but a couple folks offered what I was asking. It happened to have everything a guy nearby needed.
EXCELLENT ! I'm so very pleased to hear this as I see so much of this sort of thing go straight to scrap . As a vintage Mechanic I know the value of original parts .
Nate, We need re-educated on what these old 50mph babbit rod trucks sell for. We put a $20k Detroit Speed chassis under 52 and I got a smile producing $800 for the factory one that ran great.
Coilover, just wondering if those are cracks in the ground? If so be careful you don’t lose a car in them
