Hi I've just come acrossed a k20 long bed with a bad frame and I was wondering what years and what models frames are compatible.

Any 1973 - 1987 long bed Chevy/GMC frame will work. '73 to '80 will need the front ends cut to fit the newer bumper.

K10s may have slightly thinner metal than a K20 and aren't quite as strong, but everything will bolt up. The rear springs will also be shorter (52" vs 56" length) , but the holes for the longer springs are usually there. Just drill the rivets and move the hangers back.
K30s have taller frames, but again everything will bolt up. You can probably find one cheap that someone has taken the axles off of. Military trucks like the M1008 and M1010 are all K30s

You can also use a C series 2wd frame as well. They have the same differences between 10/20/30 series and are much easier to find; but ALL the spring mounts and engine crossmember are different so it will take a lot more work swapping parts that are riveted to the frames.

Just curious, what's bad on the current frame? Bent? Steering box cracks?
