Hello everyone. Its been a while since I've been here but I'm glad to be back for yet another project I just picked up. Im looking for some information on the body. I fully restored a 53 3100 and I've noticed a few differences between them. No vent window, side vent on DS, Gas tank in bed, windlace screwed in not in a channel, corner cab covers not open like my 53, and body mounts. This 48 has the cab mounted the frame in the center of the rear body with rubber bumpers on the otter sides. My 53 has the body mounts on the side of the frame with two shackles. Is this common for the 48? Thank you Jason
It currently Has a 1955 235 in it. So I’ll probably just stick with that but not sure on transmission yet. I’ll go back to the single intake and sell this Edmunds dual intake.
Looks like you have a good beginning there, please keep us posted as you go along . Lots of 235 lovers here, mostly those who actually like to drive / use / work their classic GM trucks .
