You might have to do a little bending on the tabs of the end brackets to get them to fit properly & flush with the door jamb.....
That's why I always recommend that you test fit the visor to the car before painting anything.

The seller sent this photo to show how the bracket should fit.How is this possible?
The tabs are too short to reach into the door-jamb,leaving the bracket to lean out
    at a 45 degree angle!Who's wrong here,the seller,the bracket or me?

Just where did you put the brackets?to the door-jam or drip-rail?

Something is wrong with the bracket you have pictured....It has been modified & it does not look like it will fit your car at all..... It looks like someone added extra material to one of the tabs & put an extra bend in it.

There is No way you can mount that bracket to your car
{ & expect to be able to open & close the door }.

No way no how!Sonow I'm looking to buy a pair of side mounting brackets for a Fulton 1000 Series.Brackets should have "M1" stamped on them, very difficult to see
so look carefully.Added a picture of an "M2" where I've added a piece of cardboard to show what it should look like.

    Hello -

I just joined after finding this thread. I too am working on a '54 3100 , and just acquired what I think is a Fulton visor from a '52. I know that mounting is an issue because the '54 has a one piece windshield , but this seems like a good place to seek info.

I believe I read that that Keep On Truckin prefers to sell complete packages , not components.
Can anyone here steer me in the right direction regarding mounting this salvageable old visor on my '54 Chev pickup?

    Thanks in advance , Waveski

Not sure of the rules ? in posting images or all that much on attachments etc.
OR if this topic is open to further questions without starting a New Topic ?
I am not ashamed to admit- anytime ! that I am not the sharpest tool in the shed..
Found out I still know every little about Exterior Sun Visors.
And the Low Rider Look? with those Fulton Arm Brackets ? etc.
----- I do not like that type of look ---

I did find the type I had
on my Old 1953 Pickup-over 50 years ago.
Found this picture of one just like it :
It may just appear off center due to the light ? No other pictures
showing the side mounting brackets ? clips ? Without being able
to find Joe -- can anyone tell me what type of visor that is ? The One
on my Old 53 Pickup was mounted even a tad higher--And IMO made the
Truck look less " Mean" --almost like smiling eye's-- LOL..
I sure have been doing a lot of searching for Mother Trucker !
    Dead Zone aka Joe...
Joe if you can hear me.. " Help" (smile)

    Thanks Nate and All !.......

    Ernest -

Not sure what your question is ... I did enjoy the image.

I was able to contact Joe / Dead Zone via p.m. on this site. It was quickly pointed out to me that my visor is not Fulton , but rather a Dieterich.
I think that the visor in the image is a Fulton - but I am neophyte , so...
A view of the side mounting brackets would clarify the id. If you get through to Joe he'll know for sure.

    I sent perhaps one ---two---many !
Private Messages to Dead Zone ( Joe )
I did not know until coming here that a
Sun Visor I really wanted to buy
being it was " mocked up" on a Suburban
like mine was one of Joe's old ads . Didn't
figure out what the "MT " stamp was until I arrived here.
And found out Dead Zone was
Mother Trucker = "MT" -aka Joe..

The Visor -- looked just like
the one I had over 50 years ago
on my 53 Chevy Pickup-- Well I printed a copy
of that ( MT ) Ad- on the " 2040 parts " site
and held on to it for well over a year.
Man do I hate not knowing
hardly a thing about what is what..?..
    The Picture I recently posted
above has the lifted -soft eye brow lines...
All the Fulton's I have looked at look--" Mean "
And have the weird Arm Brackets -
-Sure do not like the look of the Fulton.
Heck with those-- I would be scared to face my
Old Suburban- She Might Bite Me ! - LOL.
Anyone find Joe-- as I asked Nate --
Put in a kind word for an Old Spun Nut !---
    `` Before my Suburban - rusts away``(smile)
    Love this site... Thanks All..:)
    Will keep checking back...

I noticed that you joined after I did
And where able to contact Joe ....

" I was able to contact Joe / Dead Zone via p.m. on this site "
Which makes me wonder about my sending too many Private Messages ?

Being illiterate to the nomenclature on what is what ?
Thought to come back and again apologize for making
replies on the topic --- "Fulton Visors for 54 31oo "

    Since coming here and finding
MT-was Dead Zone aka Joe--I sent someone a link
to the " MT " Advertisement on the 2040 parts site.
    They were kind enough to
try and show me what the difference was
in Deitrech and Fulton Visors adding that
what the images in the MT - Advertisement where
    Quote :
"No, the sunvisor in the link you
shared (MT) is a Factory Chevy Truck Accessory visor. "

And reading what Dead Zone added here in his replies
Keeps me hopeful -- that I may hear from him.
Hope that helps others like myself - ``know nothing much```
    The Best..
    Ernie.
