Question on bed mounting

    On my 57 I have rubber washers in between the the crossmembers for the bed and the frame in about 4 places per side. My bed is apr 1/2 inch lower on the LH side than the RH side. Can I take them out or add a couple more to get the bed level left to right. I don’t see the washers them in the assembly manual. Thanks. Dave

    Yes -but- be sure to measure the frame bottom to ground in several places as it's likely bent/twisted .

    If it is and yet it drives fine and doesn't chew up tires, shim the bed and rest easy, just be aware someone actually worked your truck long ago .

    As always thanks Nate, sorry about my delayed response, have been out of touch for a bit.
    The frame seems to be good and it seems to be in the box as best I can tell.
    I may go ahead and shim the low side as it seems to be out about 1/2 inch.
