I am searching for an exhaust manifold for a 1950 216 engine. Does anybody have a good one and is willing to sell?

    Oh, darn .

Did it break trying to remove a broken stud ? .

They're out there, some are angled, others are not .

Joe in Az. will fix you right up .

Did not break, that is the way I got it with all the parts. What do you mean some are angled?

The outlet can face straight down or angle to the rear like yours does .

Send Evan and Joe queries, Even throws away complete engines because no one wants them, Joe has been collecting New Old Stock and used parts longer than dirt and has a business selling them .

If you didn’t find one yet I probably got one you can have for just the cost of shipping. Me a couple of days to get you a picture to see if it’s what you want. I am recuperating from kidney surgery and will have to get to the barn to take it off the engine.

Do you also have the clamps that hold the manifold on?

They are on the engine with the manifold. IF they come Off easy the answer is yes if they are rusted and difficult the answer is no. I'll use PB blaster and an impact wrench and hope for the best.

Sorry to hear that, hope it isn't serious and comes with a quick recovery.

Al, here's the photos of the one I have. Don't know the year but it's off the 216 in the picture. The heat riser is stuck but you might be able to loosen it up with some PB blaster and a little muscle power. IMG_0590.jpg IMG_0594.jpg IMG_0595.jpg

That is what I need. I already figured on the heat riser being stuck, they usually are. I think I can free it up though.
Send me your address info and weight and dimensions and I will have ups pick it up. Let e know what I owe and I will send you a check.

RE : stuck heat risers ~

USE NO FORCE ! the shaft is very delicate and easily snapped off .

Soak it and wait, in due time it will come loose, I've never had one that wouldn't .
