Just to get Jiggy with it...
    I may carry many lables
Slow- stupid -a bit retarded like
the spark in an old lazy " blue flame"..
The tip of my torch needs cleaning
But for all the conservatives-liberals and
independants ? I am comfortable in my sense of
just being me and like persons who are fair and honest
and have a sense of "decency" ? As The World Turns ? The Days of Our Lives - like old Soap Opera's can be entertaining and have the best ratings--- I in many ways have become a man of constant sorrows in thinking too much-- Haha... Joy never fails to answer
    Tis Good to be Simple
    Tis Good to be Free....
    My > " God ! " < only knows ....
And " trust" ? me -- I started searching very early in live for a God so many used to say God Bless when their lives looked like all the wanted to do was Raise a Little Hell --- Play my self out... with a tune that does speak to me--- Wishing Y'all Peace and Love ----

Really ! Glad you liked it Nate..
Sometimes I feel like I'm in that
    last chapter of life....
    While all those other chapters
were filled with ups and downs
Hard Work- LIFE - LOVE !
There is this tune never fails to come to mind -as
And I could not afford the fancy stereo's and cool speakers.
I just bought a couple of albums and played them on our little turn table

My now 50 plus year old daughter still loves it.
She said she can remember the doves outside her window
in a neat little coop dad made. And of course this tune.

    Today as you mentioned --
We have been having some very blistering heat..
    From the CA. Coast -----
    --- to the Desert--and beyond.....

    Well seems I got awayo_O
    with posting a tune..:D
Might like this one--other than the line..
It Felt Good to be Out of the Rain ? -

Good to Hear You again Nate !
    The Best :)

I have a very wide taste in music, I even like Klezmer music and if you remember that being played on the radio you're beyond old .

Who knew retirement could be so much fun ? . I'm not always so happy but more often than not .

I have been thinking about Joe's VW post, I remember that advert, it was the last year VW made the Beetle so you could drive it flat out as long as you liked with no worries .

The owner's manual used to say "top speed is cruising speed" .

When my son began to drive I told him one reason I like old VW's is because they cannot possibly overheat thanx to an unlimited supply of free coolant .

He decided this was some sort of challenge and proceeded to beat that poor 1963 40 horse engine to death .

It still lasted close to 40,000 miles and clattered and banged it's way home when it died ~ he stopped to top up the oil and let it cool down then drove it home and junked the engine.

Sorry for the delay--I was in the middle of a 24-hour long journey home from London when you posted! It has been approved now.

If we wanted Speedy I think we'd all have GMC's, right ? .

My old bug even doubled as a Stovebolt engine hauler back in the day.....I logged over 500,000 miles on that thing & I still saw it running around town for a few years after I finally sold it....I got to the point where I always had a fresh rebuilt 1600cc motor on hand in the garage ready to be installed as soon as the motor in the car started rattling.

Your bug looks really nice in those old pictures, mine were usually just beaters I ran hard and put away wet .

Every time I'd clean one up and re spray it etc. I'd sell it on as they were so cheap and easy to sell for profit then .

Now I look back and think of my '48, my early '53 Zwitter and others, oops .
