    I'm a man with many questions... ;)

I have a 4-speed manual on the floor (3spd with a granny low) in my '85 C10 with a 305. What transmission fluid does everyone recommend for daily driving/light hauling? Thanks! :)

Charles F Rising JR: check the haynes or chiltons manual to see if by some chance (as in my case) that it does not recomend atf fluid. yes i said atf the newer ones require atf instead of 85/90 wt gear oil if atf i recomend dextron 3 atf a good grade is recomended( valvoline or equivilent.:)

Well, I replaced it with synthetic 75W90. I think it had ATF in it (really thin liquid) and it was a little noisy. I'll use the syn lube and see if the tranny benefits at all.

I know more MODERN manny-trannys use ATF for lubricant, but I gotta believe that my 3-spd is older technology.
