Removed the doors off my 1980 c20. Installed new door seals. Put doors back on. Now very hard to close, is this normal or is there an adjustment I am missing?

Is the alignment correct after reinstalling the doors? Are they hard to close because they hit the striker? If the striker adjustment is not the issue, it's posible the doors had been shimmed at one point, and as the seals wore, the shims were removed to provide a better seal. If the alignment is correct, you may be able to equally shim the hinges so the doors will close easier. You should be able to tell by looking where the doors meet the front fenders. If there is a noticeable drop from the fender to the door, then I would say it needs to be shimmed. It's possible there is drop at only one hinge, in which case that one hinge would need a shim. Also, check for a drop where the door meets the roof line (shim top hinge if bottom of door is ok).
