I have a new 400 sm blk. it is built, and i dont want to hurt it as it gets hot on me. I recently put a flex fan on with about a 2 1/2" spacer, it is inside the shroud! but it runs hot, i put a 160 thermostat i still have my old flex fan, maybe put that on,? I Know a 4 core would help, taking suggestions. Thanks, Mike

yes the 4 core will help alot, and for the flex fan... well go to summit racing inc. and order part # FLX1718p it is a steel fan with aluminum blades, flex fans do not draw enough air, I know I have a 58 chevy which has about 400 hp. and I was getting hot too but after I put this on I noticed a complete difference, I have not got hot since because it don't flex much if any unlike the flex fan when your on the gas hard so it draws twice the air flow!
